Calorie & water tracking

Calories you can actually trust.

Scan a barcode, snap a label, or search. Nality pulls real numbers from verified food databases, not guesses.

Coming soon to the App Store

Free to download. A few scans and searches every day are free.

Nality home screen showing a daily calorie ring at 105 of 2000 kcal, a water ring at 250 of 2500 ml, and quick-add buttons for a glass, a bottle and a litre.

How it works

Three ways to log a food.

  1. Scan the barcode

Packaged food? Point and done. Barcode results come from food databases, not guesses.

  2. Snap the label

No barcode match? Photograph the nutrition panel and Nality reads it for you.

  3. Or just search

Look up everyday foods, ranked so the real thing shows up before obscure brands.

Why Nality is different

Honest numbers, or no number.

Real data, clearly sourced

Nutrition values come from government food composition databases like AFCD and USDA. Every food shows where its numbers came from.

Missing isn't zero

If a value isn't known, we say so. We never fill gaps with made up numbers.

AI that says when it's guessing

A photo of a meal gives an estimate, and Nality labels it as an AI estimate so you know. Label scans read the values printed on the pack. You can edit any number before you save it.

Water

Water, without the faff.

One tap for a glass, a bottle, or a litre. Your daily goal starts from a standard adequate-intake guideline for your sex and activity level, and you can change it any time.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

  • From government food composition databases such as AFCD and USDA FoodData Central. Barcodes are matched against USDA Branded Foods and Open Food Facts. Each food shows its source, and values that are missing are flagged, not filled in.

  • Barcode and database values are the most reliable. Label scans read what's printed on the pack. Photo scans of a meal are estimates, and you can edit any entry before you save it.

  • Every day you get a few photo scans, label scans, food searches, barcode scans and water logs for free, and manual logging is always free. Pro removes the daily limits on photo and label scanning. A fair-use ceiling, set far above what a person uses in a day, stops automated use; see the terms.
